News: New Batman Games Announced "Batman Arkham Origins" & "Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate"

News of a new Batman in the 'Arkham' series announced today, as well as a new stand-alone game in the series for 3DS and Playstation Vita. 

The prequel, titled Batman Arkham Origins, will be coming out on Xbox 360, Wii U and Playstation 3. Developed by Warner Brothers Games Montrèal, the new Batman will be in a larger, expanded Gotham City and feature a story years before the events of Arkham Asylum. According to the press release the game will showcase "a young and unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter" which eventually lead him to become the Dark knight. 

The title announced for Playstation Vita and Nintendo 3DS, 'Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate' will be a 2.5D companion game to Batman: Arkham Origins. Players will be able to continue the story of the console game and discover more story elements of Batman's past.

It will be exciting to see if WB Games Montrèal can live up to the huge footprints left by Rocksteady. These will definatly be titles to keep an eye on!

Both games are set for a dual release on the 25th of October later this year.
